Bonneville Tile

May 27, 2009

Jubliant Way Home, 2004

This tub deck is slightly elevated from the floor to enhance the view out the window. The tile is a mixture of two different shades of travertine, the diamonds and borders were custom cut from full 18" x 18" tiles for the arrangement. The bathtub was reclaimed from a 1920's home that was being refitted with newer bath fixtures. The tub was languishing in the back lot of a plumbing shop, the homeowner inquired about it, they told him "it's yours for nothing if you haul it out of here." It has a slight blemish in the upper right corner otherwise the porcelain was perfect, this was going to be thrown in the trash. Just another testament to what can be found and recycled with a little digging.

I've been doing tile work since 1997. Pretty much anything you can dream up, I can tile. My favorite medium is natural stone tile such as travertine, marble, granite, etc. I am also accomplished at ceramic, porcelain, glass, saltillo, etc.

My work has included custom bathrooms, steam showers, showers, and raised tubdeck platforms in all sorts of sizes and shapes. I have also done custom kitchen counter and backsplash layouts with decorative patterns unique to each individual home.

I have completed thousands of square feet of floors, including many inlaid sunburst patterns that I have designed based on each client's specifications. In addition to my many years of tile work, I have extensive experience in all aspects of building spanning over 17 years. I have built 20 homes from the ground up having conceptualized and drawn the plans for two of them myself.

I am insured in Colorado and I am available for small or large tile jobs. References available.
